Larry Duane Hooley March 18, 1935 - Dec. 6, 2013

Larry Duane Hooley, of Cleburne, formerly a long-time resident of Littlefield, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 in Cleburne. 
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 in Hammons Memorial Chapel of Hammons Funeral Home, with Bob Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park, with arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home. Larry was born in Cloud Chief, Okla., on March 18, 1935 and was raised in the Spade/Littlefield area where he attended Spade High School. He married Patsy Anna Hoppe in 1953 and they shared their lives for over 
60 years. Larry truly found his calling when he joined the United Stated Army and spent over 20 years serving his country. During his military career, he served two tours in Vietnam as well as being stationed in Korea and Germany. Larry received many medals and commendations during his time of service. After retiring from the Army, he began a second career at the Post Office in Littlefield where he worked for many years before finally retiring. Larry was a devoted  usband,
father and PawPaw. He was always there to lend a helping hand to his family and anybody that needed help. He was dearly loved by everyone who knew him, and will hold a special place in our hearts forever. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening, Dec. 13, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Anna Hooley; a daughter, Roxanna Kinder; a son, Larry C. Hooley; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ray Hooley.
