Cecil Mae Hollinsworth

Cecil Mae Hollinsworth, 101, of Littlefield, died Thursday Nov. 14, 2013 in Littlefield. She was born July 12, 1912 in Sherman, to C.R. Rogers and Jessie Mae McCulley Rogers. Graveside service was held Saturday afternoon, Nov. 16, 2013 at Littlefield Memorial Park with Ken Horn officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. Cecil married Oscar Hollinsworth May 17, 1930 in Clovis, New Mexico. They moved to Littlefield in 1932 from Lubbock. She loved doing ceramics and crafting, was an excellent seamstress, and enjoyed playing “42”. Cecil was a member of the Littlefield Coin Collectors Club, was very involved in her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren’s activities, and was known by many as “Mamma Cecil”. She had a very happy and upbeat personality, and was very giving of her time to others. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Oscar Hollinsworth April 1, 2002; a daughter, Jana Johnson; her parents; four brothers; and two sisters. Cecil is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo Smith and husband, Toby, of Littlefield; four grandchildren, Penny Weige Kelton and husband, Keith, of Littlefield, Pixie Weige Grisham and husband, Allen, of Post, Dirk Reel and Duff Reel both of Lubbock; five great-grandchildren, Greg Kelton, Ryan Kelton, Chris Grisham, Josh Grisham and wife, Haven, Jerrad Grisham and wife, Kelsey; two great-great-grandchildren, Will Grisham and Adelynn Grisham; and two sisters, Dovie Massie of Plainviewand Naomi Fasching of San Diego, Calif.
