In loving memory of Judy Ann Fields, devoted wife, mother, grand and great grandmother, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024. Judy was born on May 5, 1939 to Lester and Letha Price and was the second youngest of eight children. Born and raised in Sudan, Texas, she spent her formative years playing junior basketball for the Sudan Hornets. It was during this time that she crossed paths with her high school sweetheart and beloved husband, Harley Fields, whom she married and loved intensely for 67 years.

Judy will be deeply missed by her surviving family, Harley Fields (spouse) her three beloved daughters, (Christy Sowders, Rhonda Fields, Cindy Wertzler). Her son-in-laws Lee Sowders and Dennis Wertzler, Her sister Beth Bellamy, brother and sister-in-law and nephew, Nathan, Maxine and Travis Rich. Five grandchildren (Kristopher Sowders, Matthew Sowders, Jessica Pena, Danielle Wertzler, Nicole Wertzler) and seven great grandchildren (Jayda Pinkett, Aryn Pena, Christian Sowders, Anna Pena, Lucielle Sowders, Jesse Pena Jr., and Dexter Sowders).

Judy embraced a multitude of hobbies and interests that illuminated her vibrant spirit. From the delicate art of baking cake after cake - from Barbie to Barney to SpongeBob, Grandma Judy, or Hammahamma as we affectionately called her, was no stranger to constructing masterful birthday cakes placed on the kitchen table with great love. The same kitchen table, little sticky hands covered in chocolate, rolling cookies to fill her clanging cookie jar. Beneath the tablecloth, lay the intricacies of her tabletop puzzles and a few leftover paint specks and brushstrokes, the joys of painting landscapes and flowers and even the occasional dents from long nights of Farkle. Judy found solace and joy in every creative endeavor she embarked upon. Her enthusiasm extended to ceramics, jewelry making, photography, gardening, holiday decorations, and her favorite past-time playing the slots.

A Memorial Service to honor Judy Ann Fields was held on April 28, 2024. The service took place at Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial Park in Las Vegas, Nevada.

May the memories of Judy's laughter, warmth, and creativity continue to shine brightly in our hearts as we bid farewell to a remarkable soul who enriched our lives with love.

Rest peacefully dear Judy Ann Fields. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Diabetes Foundation, American Heart Association or Safe Nest in her name.
