A Question: Is Wickedness On The Increase?

We hear it said: Now in this time, we see everything but what about in the past?

According to God’s Word, what does it tell us? “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time”. Genesis 5:6.

More than 6 thousand years have gone by. Man continues to rebel against God’s law, the world has changed in its technology, in science, but sin continues at an evident pace.

Let’s see what happened at Sodom and Gomorra. “Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord”. Genesis 13:13. There was extreme immorality in these cities, frequent murders, it mentions instances where the children killed their parents.

The best antidote is to refuge in God. I am motivated by what Psalms 34 verse 7 says “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them”. This does not mean that we are extent from danger. We can get hurt and even lose our lives in a fight that we aren’t even a part of.

Experiences I have lived and want to share:

 1. I taught my children spiritual and moral values and I should have been an example.

2. Obey the laws and respect authorities.

3. Know how to elect government officials, even though at the end the person I did not choose wins.

4. Have a good relationship with my neighbors.

5. My house should always have a good appearance and not throw trash just anywhere.

6. Pray for my government. All of the above is a help for this world to be a better place.

IN CONCLUSION: Wickedness has been present on this planet since God created Adam and Eve more than six thousand years ago.
