It is a prolonged feeling of frustration or resentment. Affliction, guilt, tribulation, disgust, not being able to be consoled, anguish. This does not happen overnight, there is a process. Sooner or later every human being will experience this. Our nature allows it; being poor, rich, ignorant or educated, sooner or later we all will live times of bitterness. But then, what do we have to do?

Let’s speak about the people of Israel, as they walked in the desert, they were thirsty, they had traveled three days and could not find water to drink. Finally they came to a river named: Mara, what happened? The waters were bitter (this was a problem); the people began to complain and become bitter.

What did their leader, Moses do? He seeked God, who gave him a solution. We can read it in the book of Exodus 15: 25 “Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink”.

Do you know who lived moments of bitterness? Jesus, the Son of God. A few days before the sacrifice, he went to pray by himself, at a place called “Gethsemane”. The Savior of the world. He told his disciples that he was entering into a sadness of death”. The Savior of the World prayed this way “Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

CONCULSION: At this moment do you find yourself going through something that is causing you bitterness? In the book of Hebrews we find several recommendations, that without any doubt, will help you:

1. Seek peace with everyone

2. Get up and decide not to allow yourself to be overcome.

3. Do not allow the Grace of God to get far away from you.

4. If you do nothing about it, it will not only stay with you, but will increase.

5. Confront everything: Affliction, guilt, tribulation, not being able to be consoled, anguish and do not do it alone.

I desire blessing for your life.
